 About the Role

Are you an organized, tech-savvy administrator with a passion for outdoor recreation? The Nelson Sno-Goers are looking for a proactive Club Administrator to serve as our central administrative resource. In this role, you will work directly with our Board of Directors to keep our operational systems running smoothly, support our membership, manage cabin bookings, and maintain clear organizational communications. This is a flexible, independent contractor position perfect for a self-starter who excels at digital organization, administrative coordination, and supporting community-focused outdoor initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Membership & Cabin Reservations: Manage the Amilia membership platform and cabin booking system, assist members with technical support or account inquiries, and maintain accurate records.

Board & Governance Support: Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, track action items, maintain document archives, and help develop procedures manuals for smooth succession planning.

Communications: Monitor club emails, prepare member newsletters, update website content, and coordinate social media announcements and event promotion.

Digital Systems Administration: Serve as the primary administrator for the club’s Google Workspace (managing user accounts, permissions, shared drives, and organizational calendars).

Financial & Operational Assistance: Support the Treasurer with invoice processing, financial record-keeping, basic grant tracking/reporting support, and general administrative coordination.

 Qualifications & Skills

Required:

● Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.

● High proficiency with Google Workspace and cloud-based software.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage shifting seasonal priorities, and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred / Assets:

●Experience administering Google Workspace, Amilia software, or online booking platforms.

● Experience working with non-profit organizations, volunteer boards, or community societies.

● Familiarity with website/social media administration and basic bookkeeping.

● Experience with government or corporate grant funding applications.
